The Prepared Environment

How a Child's Environment Can be Used to Stimulate Development

When you are choosing a paint colour for the nursery and scrolling Etsy for cute baby prints, most parents wouldn’t go as far as to consider how the environment they are creating for their child is going to affect them long term.

Krista Thompson has 15 years experience working with children, having trained in Early Childhood Education and worked as a pre-school teacher at multiple institutions in Canada. She now runs Zen Den Oxford, an organising and decluttering business that focuses on making spaces function most effectively.

This workshop has been created to liberate parents and help you understand how your child’s brain is wired to respond to certain environments.

You can expect:

  • Inspiration for how to adapt your child's space using what you already have

  • Parenting strategies rooted in early childhood education techniques

  • The science of the physical environment affecting your child’s development

  • A resource booklet to refer back to in the future
